Welcome to listen to researcher Tomas Roslin, who has long studied the life of insects in East Greenland. He will talk about how nature in Greenland has changed over time.

In this lecture, Tomas Roslin describes how the local ecosystem in Greenland is changing and what these changes mean for the local species. He discusses what is changing, how fast the changes are occurring, and why it is important to discuss these issues.

Tomas Roslin is a professor of insect ecology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet SLU) in Uppsala and leads an interdisciplinary research team at the University of Helsinki. He has worked in northeastern Greenland since 2007 and can clearly see the impact of climate change on natural cycles through his research.

The event will be held in English, but further discussions are also possible in Swedish and Finnish.

The event is organized as a collaboration between UPPIK – the Finland-Greenland Friendship Association and Nordic Culture Point.
