Demos Administrative Funding – new funding for civil society organisations

""

Associations, civic organisations, foundations, and other civil society organisations now have the opportunity to apply for administrative funding for a three-year period. The administrative funding can be applied for by organisations whose regular activities aim to strengthen and promote Nordic co-operation. The funding is intended to cover the organisations’ day-to-day expenses and operations, and so differs from the Nordic Council of Ministers’ other funding programmes, which focus on joint Nordic projects.

The funding is part of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ significant investment in funding for civil society organisations. A strong and dynamic civil society is a cornerstone of Nordic democracy and one that plays an important role in delivering Our Vision 2030 for the Nordic Region to become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world. To deliver on Our Vision 2030, it’s important to invest in Nordic co-operation within civil society, and that’s why the Ministers for Nordic Co-operation have decided to substantially increase funding for civil society.

To apply for the three-year administrative funding, the organisation must be well-established and conduct year-round activities. The application period is open from 1 to 30 September 2024, and funding can be applied for the administrative period 2025 to 2027.

This is a new funding module, and so the website is still being updated. Please therefore bear in mind that the information on the website may be expanded and specified before the funding announcement.
