Nordic Culture Point offers residencies four times a year on the island of Suomenlinna in Helsinki, Finland. Residency B28 is open to all art fields. For example, artists, musicians, writers, curators, cultural producers, researchers, and artisans living in the Nordic Region can apply for a residency.

Open calls

The creative residency programme – Residency B28 – is aimed at professionals of all artistic fields, i.e. for artists, writers, curators, art managers and researchers living in the Nordic countries. The application round covers stays of one to six weeks during the period 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.

01.09.2025-30.09.2025

The next application period for Residency B28 is in September 2025. During this round, you can apply for a 1–6 week residency between September 2026 and February 2027. The September 2025 application round will have a special focus on cultural practitioners from the West Nordic region and artists working in darkrooms.

Your application must be submitted by Tuesday, 30 September at 15:59 Finnish time (UTC+3) via the electronic application system (the link opens in a new window). If you live in another time zone, please check the time that applies to you. Nordic Culture Point will not accept late applications.
