University Life in Greenland – Part 2 – Student’s Perspective

Eeva Honkonen is studying political science at the University of Helsinki. In 2020, she spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Greenland, Ilisimatusarfik, in Nuuk, where she studied Arctic societies and history.

For ten months, she got to experience and learnt to understand Greenlandic culture up close. She also travelled along the west coast of Greenland from south to north. Why did she go to Greenland as an exchange student? What challenges did she face in connection with her studies? What surprised her? How does she view the country after her stay there? What advice does she have for anyone who dreams of studying in Nuuk?

The first part of the series – University Life in Greenland -Teacher’s Perspective, can be watched here.
