Being Lithuanian Sauna tradition keeper I travel to teach Baltic Sauna tradition on how to work in Sauna, creating a Sauna ceremony, including Nature elements (plants, water, salt), and their use on human's body. This course is advanced, for those, who already took courses last Summer in Finland.

I got invited to participate in the workshop Back2Work from the performance Group Poste Restante. Back2work NORTH (B2w) is a network project and a series of workshops offering artistic exchange, knowledge development and peer discourse to performance artists in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

I will travel to Stockholm from 15.11. to 17.11. to participate in a workshop and concert "Northern lights" in the Eric Ericson Concert hall, that is a collaboration between Youth Choir "Kamēr...", Bengt Ollén and Sofia Vokalensemble.

A series of meetings and workshops to be held in Hailuoto with the applicant and selection of local artists and cultural producers. Goal is research on possibilities and developing projects of artistic and cultural exchange between archipelagic communities of the islands Ærø (DK) and Hailuoto (FI).

The main purpose of this travel is to strengthen cultural co-operation between Baltic and Nordic countries in the field of contemporary circus. This would lead to more sustainable touring, recognition and development of contemporary circus in the Nordic-Baltic region.

I am invited to Trykkeriet in Bergen, Norway, for a work stay to explore and experiment with printing techniques on site for 3 weeks in November with a subsequent exhibition at the Trykkeriet the 1st week of December. I will learn more about materials and gain in-depth knowledge in the printfield.

We will perform with Lithuanian saxophonist Kestutis Vaiginis and the Polish rhythm section at the What a Jazz Summer Camp in Lithuania in August 2024. In this project we will combine the musical traditions of both countries, jazz aesthetics, improvisation and dance.

Ensemble Scandinavian Cornetts and Sackbuts (SCS) is specialised in early music and seeks support for a collaboration with the Icelandic choir Hymnodia Vocal Ensemble.

I, visual artist, Kirstine Aarkrog (Danish) has been invited to present a solo exhibition at Galleri Nef in Stockholm, Sweden. The exhibition consists of seven new works under the common title ’The Parades’. Duration of the exhibition: 6 – 16 June, 2024.

I conduct an in-person interview with Bernd Ogrodnik in order to enhance my research in The Changing Landscape of Puppetry to better understand his approach to puppetry art. I’m participating in the exhibition Call of the void at Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM) in April and will travel to Tallinn to install my work and join the opening.

The travel is planned to cover the conference Bonju – Queering Nordic Borders, meeting of the Nordic Network for Queer History Archives and Activities, and individual study visit to Skeivt Arkiv in Bergen, enabling exchange of knowledge and experience between colleagues in the Nordic-Baltic region.

I am project manager and co-curator of the project (re)searching archives and will be traveling to install an exhibition and facilitate a symposia.

The exhibition runs from 20/09 to 11/10 and the symposia will be held on 20/09 24, and will take place at Museum of Impossible Forms, Helsinki Finland.

Arctic Tales of Mother Earth: expedition and research trip to Longyearbyen and its fossil sites facilitated by Artica Svalbard to conclude a project focused on non-toxic experimental fossil printing.

I am invited to show work at to exhibition ”Down in the Bog – Thinking with Peatlands: Sporulation” at EKKM 14.06.24. I will be doing a workshop on scent connected to the opening weekend. 17-19. june I will be part of a visit to Soomaa National park for a collective artistic walk-in-research.

As part of our ongoing collaboration with curator Karolin Tampere on her project Down in the Bog – Thinking with Peatlands, of which different chapters will take place in both our institutions in 2024, TKF is invited for a visit to EKKM coinciding with the opening of the 2nd chapter of the project.

I am invited to Oslo, NOFOD conference, together with my colleague dance researcher Ieva Ginkeviciute to lead a workshop – ”Unlearning Dance.” The conference will take place on April 23-26, 2024, at Kristiania University College, focusing on uniting diverse forms of dance research and practice.

To participate as an exhibitor in the installation and vernissage of the exhibition In under through up and then out at Galleri Salhus at the Textile Industry Museum in Salhus, Bergen, Norway, opening on June 1, 2024. The exhibition is curated by Anna T Wolger, and shows five nordic textile artists.

The grant is intended to support my visit to realize an important phase of my curatorial research done together with contributing collaborators and institution in Tallinn and Tartu. The work will be part of the exhibition ”Down in the Bog – Thinking with Peatlands: Sporulation” at EKKM in Tallinn.

I will travel to take part and lead an international choral masterclass in Finland, Lahti. The aim is to prepare the repertoire for the joint choral concert on 4th of May in Helsinki, and to participate in networking between conductors, musicians from Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark and Poland.

The applied grant is for participation in the NOFOD conference in Oslo from 23 to 26 April 2024.
The grant covers travel (Helsinki-Oslo-Helsinki), board and lodging.

I’ve been accepted to Baltic Analog Lab’s Film School, which takes place every week online and as three in-person workshops in Riga and Rotterdam from January to June 2024. These workshops will offer training in filming on a bolex camera, hand-processing and editing 16mm analog experimental film.

To partake in the group exhibition Down in the Bog – Thinking with Peatlands: Sporulation. The exhibition is curated by Karolin Tampere by invitation from Estonian Contemporary Art Museum. It will be on show at EKKM in Tallinn from June 14th until late August 2024.

For travelling to, and staying in Liepaja, Latvia, in order to play a solo concert with the SOUND-DISK-MACHINE at the international sound art festival “SOUND DAYS”.

Two years ago I started filming musician Amina Hocine’s process developing, building and playing her own pneumatic mechanical organ. I’m therefore applying for funding to go to Stockholm 9.-13. of May 2024, and film musician Amina Hocine’s graduation koncert at KHM/ Kungliga Musikhögskolan.

I am applying for a grant to attend the NOFOD conference to give a presentation with my working group. At the conference, we will be giving a lecture presentation with the following title: Dancer´s embodied Class Background.

The mobility grant will be used to cover travel expenses to present the work ‘Landmarks’, an interdisciplinary art installation by Bianca Hisse, in the main exhibition space of Forum Box in Helsinki, Finland. The premiére is on 22nd of August 2024 and stays open for the public until 15 September.

To explore and learn about surface printing firsthand at Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik. The purpose of travel is to investigate the potential of a new project in the field of printmaking, as specialist craftsmanship informed by Swedish cultural heritage.

Participation in biennial performing arts for children and youth Bibu 2024 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Bibu is one of the biggest theater festivals for kids and youth in all Nordic-Baltic countries. There will be opportunity to see best performances from all over the world, attend seminars, lectures.

A research field trip in the commencing ”Spaces of Resilience” art project revolving around the sites and people of the traditional Icelandic turf houses and farms that still exist, investigated in light of regenerative practices.

The travel’s purpose is to collaborate and bring attention towards private collections on Greenlandic artefacts outside of Greenland. With the travel and in collaboration with experts in Nuuk I will unravel the means of how archives shape interpretations of past events that bridge into current times
