Acommodation

The residency accommodation includes a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a loft, and a bathroom.
The bedroom has a double bed, an armchair, a desk, and a bookshelf. There are duvets, pillows, sheets, and towels for six people in the bedroom closet.
The living room has a sofa that can be used as two separate or connected beds. There is also a coffee table, three armchairs, and a dining table with six chairs.
The kitchen next to the living room can be closed off with a glazed sliding door. The kitchen is fully equipped for six people and has a stove with an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. The stove and oven operate with a timer. There is no dishwasher, so residency guests must wash up by hand. Kitchen towels are also provided.
Nordic Culture Point expects residency guests to sort their waste, and there are waste management bins for mixed waste, organic waste, cardboard, glass, metal, and plastic waste. Residency guests must empty the waste bins at designated locations on the island.
The loft above the kitchen has two mattresses. The loft’s height is limited due to the vaulted ceiling, and a narrow staircase leads up to the loft from the hallway.
The bathroom has a toilet, a sink, a shower enclosure, and a washing machine, which residency guests are free to use.
The residency accommodation is cleaned before and after the residency. Guests are responsible for cleaning during their residency. Cleaning tools, gloves, and eco-labelled cleaning products are available in the closet next to the bathroom. There is also an iron, an ironing board, and drying racks for laundry. Four chairs and a small table, which can be used outdoors, are also provided.
Other facilities

There are two public spaces for artistic work, which Nordic Culture Point staff and visitors pass through to reach the office spaces. These can be used by residency guests alongside staff and guests. The rooms are large with vaulted ceilings and stone floors. The first room is sometimes used as a gallery to showcase artistic processes. The second room is used for performances, seminars, and music events. There are 40 chairs, and it is possible to set up a stage at one end of the room.
Information about the technology available in B28 can be found here.
There is an office room with a meeting table and an office desk with a computer screen for residency guests, all located in house B28 in Suomenlinna.
Additionally, there are two old darkrooms available for artistic work. This part of the property is still under development.
