“Among the applications were projects exploring migration to the Nordic Region, young people’s integration into Nordic communities, and how Nordic societies welcome and engage with other cultures,” says Randi Samsonsen, chair of the expert panel.
Randi Samsonsen notes that the first funding round of Volt’s inaugural year attracted many applications related to theatre and music. For projects that were unsuccessful on this occasion, it comes as good news that Volt will have two application rounds this year. Both revised and entirely new applications may be submitted from 10 August onwards.
“We want to create a consistent and predictable application cycle in order to encourage as many strong applications as possible,” says Samsonsen, who also has a message for projects that didn’t receive funding in this round:
“Don’t submit exactly the same application twice. Read through the guidelines again and consider whether you can strengthen your application further.”
