Together with his trusty screenwriter Eskil Vogt, over the past 15 years Joachim Trier has made a name for himself with a number of critically acclaimed films and a growing international audience. The pair are now Norway’s most successful film duo.
At the core of their work are the Oslo films Reprise (2006) and Oslo, 31 August (2011). The trilogy is now being rounded off with The worst person in the world (2021). The film was included in the main competition of Cannes 2021, with the leading actress Renate Reinsve winning best female actor. In addition, the film has recently been nominated for Oscars for both best international film and best original screenplay.
Julie will soon be turning 30, and although everything is in place for her to settle down, she’s struggling to fit into her relationship with cartoonist Aksel, 15 years her senior. She just doesn’t know which direction she wants to take in life.
One night, she sneaks into a party where she meets the young and energetic Eivind.
The film is a drama comedy about having every opportunity in life, but still feeling like a loser; like the worst person in the world. Julie is fighting to keep every door open, but soon finds out that some choices have already passed her by.

Reserved tickets must be collected from the Nordic Culture Point library at Kaisaniemigatan 9 by 14:00 on Saturday 12 March.
The library is open during the day from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and is open in the evenings until 19:00 on Wednesdays.

If you’re on the waiting list and receive an e-mail on 14 March that uncollected tickets are available, these can be collected before 17:00 on Tuesday 15 March, or until 18:30 on Wednesday 16 March.

Any remaining tickets will be available at the library between 18:30 and 18:45 on 16 March.
The library is just across the street from Kinopalatsi. The screening will take place in screen 3. The seats are unnumbered.
