Welcome to the opeing of THE BALLOT – Piece of paper or tool of power exhibition!

The THE BALLOT – PIECE OF PAPER OR TOOL OF POWER? opening will feature an entertaining talent show-style panel that will deconstruct ballots live on stage. Experts from different fields of knowledge will pass judgement on a number of ballot contestants. The experts invited to judge the talent show are Jenna Jauhiainen – artist and equal rights activist, Theodora Helimäki – political scientist and electoral scholar, Joonas Leppänen – leading specialist at Sitra and Teivo Teivainen, Professor of World Politics at the University of Helsinki. You will also be able to take part in a ballot bingo and a guided tour through this rare ballot collection by its curators.

The program will be hosted by Max Valentin, founder of democracy think tank Fabel, and Helsinki based visual artist Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. Traditional cinnamon buns and coffee/tea are on offer!
