The event includes a physical exhibition in the form of a video projection as well as text about the research that Camilla has conducted during her stay.
Camilla will also organise a dance improvisation and movement meditation workshop, in which the audience can participate or observe as they prefer. In this way, the artist provides an open space for resonance alongside the bodily and kinaesthetic experience created together with the participants. After the workshop, there will also be an opportunity to discuss and share the experience.
Camilla Stage’s activities span many countries and include 30 staged/produced works, of which 13 have been full-evening performances. In her many professional roles, Camilla has collaborated with artists from a variety of fields and developed a wide network of contacts, using dance as a tool and poetry in social debate.
The event will take place on 23 April from 15:00 to 16:30 at Residency B28 in Suomenlinna. You can find more information here about the HSL ferry from Kauppatori to Suomenlinna’s main pier and how to get to Suomenlinna B28.
