Designing your future

Abstrakt bild

How do we design an optimistic future? In a time where emphasis is often put on heavy, negative, and disastrous events and feelings, we need to find a way to flip the script and open up to new possibilities and stories which could be futures to be invested in. Join us in a workshop around the future on the beautiful Suomenlinna island. Let the history and imagined artifacts of the fortress make your imagination run free, and come together in this immersive space where we face future challenges and solutions together.

The workshop is facilitated by The Time Travel Agency, a speculative design studio in the Nordics and online creating experimental methods, experiences, and tools to help people reach the future. People travel with them because feeling agency is a beautiful, decisive, irreversible world.

Please register through this link to join the event! The deadline to register is September 4th, 2022.

We will meet at Kauppatori and take the 12:30 ferry to Suomenlinna together. If you are already familiar with the island, you can join us at B28. We are open to the general public and the workshop suits all ages, previous design experience is not required!

This event is part of the Helsinki Design Week programme. Established in 2005, Helsinki Design Week is the largest design festival in the Nordic countries. This multi-sector event is organized yearly to present the various disciplines of design as well as fashion, architecture and urban culture. This year’s festival is organized from 1 to 11 September 2022. Helsinki Design Week is produced by Luovi Productions.
