Three Nordic performing arts institutions will co-produce contemporary circus performance and develop best practice for Nordic institutions to engage in circus arts. The learnings from the project will be shared with the sector at CirkusExpo 2026 and CircusFresh 2027 hosted by Riksteatern in Sweden.

The Unloved promotes a deeper understanding of ecological relationships and challenges our perceptions of nature and plant intelligence through a creative, accessible lens. It explores the idea of ecological colonialism and highlights the role of plants as active agents in socio-political history.

Poesiens Hus (DK) recognises the power of words to transform lives, and works collaboratively across the Nordic region to amplify poetry and celebrate poets. In 2025 we send Poesiens Bus on tour with young editors and poets in collaboration with Orðskjalfti (IS), Ordskjelv (NO), and Ordskalv (SE).

Pushing the boundaries of artistic form and audio technology, the audience take centre stage in this first-of-its-kind open-world sound theatre on the remote Arctic island of Ingøya in Northern Norway. Art and technology fuse the past with the present to bring an island back from the dead.

At the 2025 Við Djúpið Music Festival, June 17–21, Finland is in focus, showcasing music, visual arts and artists from Finland. The program features Finland's centuries-old musical traditions, new Finnish music and well-known older works. Performers come from Finland, Iceland, and the United States.

En ny nordisk litteraturfestival på Færøerne. Der er ingen litteraturfestival på Færøerne i forvejen. Vi har berømte og yngre forfattere sammen i et nyt møde imellem nordiske forfattere, tidsskrifter og småforlag, således at et perifert sted kan kunne måle sig med resten af Norden.

A Nordic-Basque collaboration engaging Icelandic youth in climate action through physical theatre and dance workshop in Hvammstangi. The workshop combines environmental education with arts, promoting cultural exchange and sustainability.

MINU_festival_for_expanded_music 2024 præsenterer kunst i grænselandet mellem musik og andre kunst- og kulturformer. Fire nordiske samarbejdsprojekter står centralt i festivalens program. MINU skubber grænserne for hvad en musikfestival kan være i både æstetiske og sociale retninger.

Series of curated walks that seek to traverse the boundary spaces between urban and rural environments, drawing attention to the subtle and often overlooked transformations in the modern world—the environmental and socio-political issues, such as gentrification, and the shrinking of public spaces.

IN-SITU connects three Nordic and Baltic artist-run organisations and artists working in the field of photographic art to experiment together and build knowledge on site-specific practices and the use of local circular economy in exhibition practices.

'GRIMM'asos' is an innovative performance reinterpreting the raw Grimm tales through a blend of theatre and contemporary circus. Highlighting Baltic-Nordic collaboration it fosters creative exchange and strengthens contemporary circus development across the region, uniting diverse artistic practices

The project is a collaboration between The Vessel Productions, director Jenni Kallo, Dansinitiativet and Dynamo workspace, aimed at creating a 35-minute contemporary circus performance for children aged 9 to 16 with a strong emphasis on sustainable touring throughout the Nordic region.

NEST is an immersive chamber opera. The audience is invited to share a moment with the performers in a space dedicated to care and nurturing, enabling a feeling of togetherness. The work examines the importance of caring, our caring culture and the social difficulties associated with it.

Experiments' Platform - an alternative education and mentorship program for emerging researchers and developers working in architecture and closely related applied arts fields. It is a creative incubator where participants get tools to develop and present their work nationally and internationally.

Bridges, a project by the North Atlantic Islands Dance Network. For two weeks 9 artists will gather in Nuuk to collaborate and mentor aspiring Greenlandic dancers through creative choreographic explorations. The results of "Bridges" will culminate in a presentation at the Suialaa Arts Festival 2025.

THE HOST is a dance performance that explores the boundaries between human interaction and artificial intelligence (AI). In this performance human bodies act as hosts for an AI companion. The aim is to challenge the audiences perception of the impact that AI has on our lives as Nordic citizens.

The project's focus is on Nordic cooperation in the field of art education and youth work. Art Camps, where young people from Finland, Sweden and Denmark meet each other and get tools for self-expression through art, are the main events. The Art Camps are led by professional artist.

En workshop, riktad till regissörer och dramapedagoger i Finland, Sverige och Danmark med syfte att stärka deras kompetens inom intimitetsregi och respektfullt bemötande för att säkerställa trygga arbetsmiljöer inom amatörteatern.

The Sauna Project is a research project for a performance that uses the image of the sauna to explore the ethics of security in the times of (perpetual) war. What does it mean to be an Estonian/Finnish/Norwegian during the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the threat of the shared border?

Jag söker pengar för att skapa dansföreställningen ’artifact’ under våren 2025. I ’artifact’ kommer jag dyka ner i skapandet av fiktiva artefakter från idén om en queer afro-nordisk folklore. ’artifact’ har samarbeten i bl.a. Sverige, Norge, Island, Danmark, Italien, Tyskland och Österrike.

Riitta Ikonen & Karoline Hjorth will create a series of new works in Denmark's UNESCO South Funen Archipelago Geopark, to be exhibited at Øhavsmuseet, Fåborg. The works will challenge perceptions of human-nature relationships and history, affirming co-existence as the only sustainable path forward.

Vårt huvudsakliga mål är att möjliggöra ett tvärvetenskapligt utrymme för samarbete, vilket är kärnan i visuell antropologi. Genom att knyta det lokala till det globala presenterar vi för varandra (filmskapare, konstnärer, antropologer), liksom för de unga som deltar, sätt att förstå världen genom olika skalnivåer (det lokala, det regionala, det nationella och det globala). Det är genom att navigera genom dessa skalor som vi kan använda vår konst och film för att kommunicera dagsaktuella teman.

Vi ønsker at skabe en radikalt ny og robust metode, med flad kunstnerisk hierarki og medskabelse for de små børn. For at opnå større forståelse og forbedre vores metode er det nødvendigt at afprøve konkrete ideer med målgruppen, både i vuggestuer og i individuelle forløb. Vores fokus er vores målgruppes møde med bevægelse og lyd, og hvilken synergi de skaber med hinanden. I samarbjede med Lars Gear Hammershøj vi vil udforske hvad Amygdalaen er, og hvad den kan i forbindelse med vores tematik.

-Finish the publication with Vessel in Spring 2025, this would be the result of the collaborative workshops. The publication will be bilingual with
the texts published in both a mother tongue (chosen by the student) and English.
-The aim with the project is to strengthen a common knowledge of the writing and communication
of craft skills and to find ways to write and read about this knowledge.
-Encourage future writing/reading projects within our field of material based art and craft.

Vi vil præsentere fribyordningen og en række mangfoldige kunstnere og deres kunst på Kulturmødet Mors.
Vi vil netværke og udvikle projekter sammen med kunstnere og andre aktører .
Vi vil i dialog med publikum og facilitere mødet mellem kunstnere og publikum.
Vi vil bidrage med kunstnerisk og organisatorisk ekspertise i spørgsmål om ytringsfrihed, demokrati og kunstnerisk frihed til det nyetablerede samarbejde mellem de tre nordiske kulturmøder og på kommende kulturmøder i Norden

Fyns Grafiske Værksted har fokus på forbedret ligestilling, arbejdsmiljø og bæredygtighed, derfor ville vi genre afholde et tre-dages møde med de andre nordiske og baltiske lande, for at få ideer og input til nye forbedringer.
Vidensdeling og bæredygtighed er temaerne for dette møde.

Syftet med projektet är att arrangera ett evenemang som inte avslutas när själva eventet är över. Tanken är att skapa en hållbar långsiktig kulturell aktivism som inleder en konversation och leder till en mer inklusiv kulturscen. Vi satsar även på framtida samarbetsmöjligheter mellan andra organisationer som de bokade artisterna representerar och Sverige. Vi strävar efter att detta budskap inte bara når artister och besökare, utan även andra företag och sponsorer.

Vi har som målsetting å bli dyktigere i vårt håndverk slik at vi kan lage fine plagg og gjenstander i selskinn, og også dele kunnskapen videre med kurs og workshop. Vi har som målsetting å skape et nettverket Norden hvor vi kan løse problemer og skape en framtid for dette tradisjonshåndverket. Sammen ønsker vi å sette fokus på en viktig kulturarv, som er spesielt viktig for urfolket fra Grønland.

The concept behind bydans was developed due to our own experiences growing up in rural areas where dance performances were underrepresented in an otherwise rich artistic and cultural scene. We see it as a right for everyone to be able to experience diverse and high quality dance performances – as an audience and participant. We wish to shed light on the importance of dance as a respected art form and want to offer more work opportunities and cross-border collaborations for artists in rural areas

The project aims to explore human identity through collaborative research among Nordic dance artists, engage audiences through interactive storytelling, involving the local community, and seamlessly blend magical realism into everyday settings for a surreal and immersive narrative experience. The starting point of a longer creative process where the focal point is the process itself and its ripple effects on the local community.

SPKRBOX jobber med hiphop og teater og kulturell klassekamp. Vi setter spørsmålstegn ved hvilke historier som får plass på teaterscenene i dag, hvem som får fortelle dem, på hvilke premisser blir de fortalt, og for hvilket publikum. Vi vil utfordre etablerte institusjonsteatre og gjøre teater mer tilgjengelig for alle. Vi vil inspirere hiphop- og teatermiljøet til samarbeid på tvers av fagfelt, sosial og kulturell bakgrunn. Håpet et at vi på sikt bidrar til et mer dynamisk scenekunst-Norden.

Sonic Game Space aims to show the language of videogames as a cultural basis for artistic output, as a powerful tool for creation and learning, a transmitter of cultural expressions on a par with other art disciplines. Translations of digital born entities to physical sculptural installations that generate a novel language in the way experience artworks.
Our aim is to collaborate with various local, national, scandinavian and international partners.

1. To pass the knowledge and work methods. The developed method that is being passed serves as a package of artistic tools helping to raise and discuss social issues with youth across borders and nations;
2. To organize seminars and workshops in Norway, Lithuania, and Iceland;
3. To create a dance performance with a cast of Lithuanian and Norwegian young dancers and present it in Bodø 2024 European Capital of Culture Youth program;
4. To organize discussions and debates with the audience.

2. Være en viktig scene for poeter ved å jobbe med å legge vekt på bredden, men også skape rom for eksperimentering og nye uttrykksformer, som lydkunst og annen flermedial poesi.
3. Arbeide for å skape et rom hvor flerspråklige og andre som føler seg usynliggjort føler seg sett og hørt, også internasjonalt.

2. Finding innovative new expressions to replace leather with jacquard weaving technologies such as whole-garment weaving in natural and biodegradable yarns.
3. Exploring local collaboration and possibilities of productions in relation to sustainable practises
4. Exploring new ways of design thinking and the process of a simultaneous design approach between material and object.

The exhibition has the aim to introduce Nordic objects table design to the public, analyzing their aesthetic and functional evolution as an expression of social, cultural and economic changes;
to analyze the gender equality in the Nordic design working world (point 5 Agenda 2030) and describe the different working context of Nordic women designer ;
to expand the history of table design with a female point of view;
to offer a transversal reading of Nordic design in a global perspective.

Prosjektet tar utgangspunkt i flyktninger fra Vietnamkrigen som reiste til Norden. En kollektiv traume kan overføres gjennom tid og fysisk eksistere i kroppen til mennesker gjennom generasjoner. I dette prosjektet utforsker jeg hvordan kollektive og intergenerasjonelle traumer gjør seg kjent i hverdagen og kroppen til overlevende etter Vietnamkrigen og deres etterkommere, spesielt i utgangspunkt i i mine foreldrene som båtflyktninger til Norge.

Ökad förståelse för och kunskap om rädslans funktion, bakgrund, hur den påverkar och styr oss och hur den kan användas för att manipulera oss. Vidgade vyer som på sikt skulle kunna leda till minskad ohälsa och ökad tillit till den egna förmågan att hantera livet, men även till ökad respekt för andra. Projektet strävar efter att verka för social hållbarhet.
Samarbetet mellan nordiska länder ger en större kunskapsbredd och perspektiv som ökar chansen för igenkänning hos en diversifierad publik.

SK strävar efter att kommunicera och medvetandegöra aktuella frågor kring ursprungsbefolkningens levnadsvillkor i Norden idag. Genom verket vill vi erbjuda en konstruktiv insats till diskussioner om minoritetssamhällen och existentiell hållbarhet. Arbetsperioden ska utmynna i ett färdigt scenkonstverk och visuell utställning med planerade visningar i Norge och Grönland. Genom arbetsprocessen strävar vi efter att utvidga det professionella kontaktnätet och skapa kompetenser och kunskapsutbyte.

Målsättningen är att skapa teaterkonst av hög standard i ett samarbete mellan tre olika scenkonstgrupper. Samarbeten hämtar alltid med sig lärdom om själva saken; samarbete.
Även att skapa nätverk och kontakter för framtida samarbeten är ett ytterst viktigt mål för Sirius Teatern.

Denounce ecocide (crimes against nature) by the 2 chosen study cases, and include local examples of ecocide when performed in Botkyrka and Lemvig. Develop and share practices for how to think of nature as a subject with equal rights to exist, like humans: The Rights Of Nature (GARN). Find collective structures and tools to empower ourselves as individuals to take actions when it comes to protecting nature, through new artistic methodology for a conversational space, to practice representation.

1. Fostering dialogue: Encourage open conversations about gender, sexuality, and the body through means of artistic expression. Bridging gaps in conversations and between people.

2. Building a new artist network: Creating a supportive community of female, non-binary and queer artists, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.

3. Youth engagement: Providing a platform for young people to explore their evolving identities in a safe, inclusive and artistic space.

Through experimental multimedia listening approaches, educational programs, and collaborative partnerships, the project seeks to empower local communities to become agents of their environment and heritage while promoting resilience in the face of environmental challenges. IEIE aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting island ecosystems, preserving indigenous cultures, and fostering sustainable practices.

– Investigate and question notions of whiteness and colonial logic within the globalized context of the Nordic region, where the concept of ‘Nordic identity’ often neglects the region’s complex demographics.
– Provoke dialogue on issues such as toxic masculinity and the appropriation of Norse symbolism by far-right extremists.
– Utilize saunas as culturally resonant settings, creating sensory rituals to challenge entrenched beliefs and evoke a spectrum of conflicting emotions, and positions.

Målet er å skape forbindelser gjennom et verk som er både tankeeggende og sanselig, monumentalt og enkelt, nært og akutt. Et uttrykk som er eksplosivt, samtidig som det åpner for refleksjon og inderlighet. En forestilling om en verden like brutal som vi opplever den, men som i sin skjelvende tilstand aldri mister muligheten for forandring av syne. Samtidig bringer vi nye stemmer inn i teateret og fasiliteter for en helt unik utveksling mellom kunstneriske banebrytere fra på tvers av Norden.

During the workshops, participants and a wider audience will work on locally-based solutions for Europe’s green transition, focusing on climate justice, indigenous heritage, buildings, and the resilience of coastal livelihoods. Historic cultural landscapes are the core of European identity. The coasts of Europe have been living with the changing climate for millennia. HeritageDialogues concentrates on heritage-based climate solutions and resonates with the coastal heritage values and challenges.
