How can you tell if a news source is trustworthy? How can you make sense of the constant stream of social media content? In this hands-on workshop on media literacy, upper secondary school students will learn practical tools to evaluate news sources using the quality criteria of the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI).

Led by Amélie Reichmuth (JTI representative in the Nordics) and featuring Heidi Finnilä, journalist at YLE, the session offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from media professionals and explore how journalists work.

The workshop is designed to spark discussion and develop skills that benefit both students and educators – no prior knowledge is needed. The language of instruction is English.

Nordic Culture Point organises this workshop in collaboration with the Journalism Trust Initiative and YLE.
