What?
Nordic Culture Point offers a residency programme – Residency B28 – for professionals in all artistic fields.
The selected residency guests will be provided with a residence apartment, public spaces for their artistic work (rooms 1 and 2, which Nordic Culture Point’s staff and visitors pass through to reach their offices) a darkroom equipped with enlargers, and an assigned office room, all located in building B28 on the island of Suomenlinna in Helsinki, Finland. We also aim to facilitate networking opportunities during the residency.
Is there financial support related to the residency?
Nordic Culture Point provides a residency grant of EUR 700 per week, which the residency guest can use for expenses related to their residency, such as living costs, travel, or materials. We also allow the residency guest to bring their family members (at their own expense) to share the residency apartment with them at no additional cost.
Who is it for?
Residency B28 is open to all art fields. For example, artists, musicians, writers, curators, cultural producers, researchers, and artisans living in the Nordic Region can apply for a residency.
When?
Nordic Culture Point offers residencies four times a year on the island of Suomenlinna in Helsinki, Finland. Residencies can take place in winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Each residency period can last between 1 and 6 weeks.
