We meet once a month during the Spring at Helsinki Central Library Oodi. We read Nordic fiction and discuss the works together. You do not need to have read the whole book to participate. When we meet, we’ll choose a book for the next meeting. No prior registration is required. We speak Swedish/Scandinavian.
In February, we will be reading the novel Meter i sekunden (eng. The Land of Short Sentences) by the Danish author Stine Pilgaard. The book has won several literary prizes and has become a major success in Denmark.
“In this understated and hilarious novel, Stine Pilgaard conjures a tale of venturing into new and uncharted land, of human relationships, dilemmas, and the ways and byways of social intercourse.” (World Editions)
See you on Oodi’s third floor, by the Minna Canth rug.
