DocPoint Documentary Film Festival takes place from 4–9 February in Helsinki

DocPoint, Finland’s largest international documentary film festival, will be held this year from 4 to 9 February in Helsinki.

Each year, the festival presents over a hundred of the most compelling and talked-about creative documentary films from Finland and around the world, screening them across cinemas in Helsinki. The festival aims to broaden audiences’ understanding of global events, engage with issues surrounding humanity and the environment, and highlight the diverse ways in which stories can be told and the world interpreted through nonfiction filmmaking.

This year, Nordic Culture Point is supporting director Birgitte Stærmose’s (the film Afterwar) trip to the festival, the Nordic Rough Cut Session event, and the screening of Nordic films at the festival.
