The Resistance Song Residency at SODAS 2123 is a three-month program in Vilnius, Lithuania, dedicated to exploring resistance, solidarity, and healing through music and sound. Open to sound artists, performers, visual artists, researchers, and activists, the residency fosters research-based inquiry into the role of vocal practices in collective resilience. Six participants will engage in collaborative projects, examining how sound and performance function as acts of resistance and solidarity.

The artists will work on their own research projects and will take turns to be the rotating hosts of the residency homestead, living by two for two months at a time and will have the opportunity to complement their theories of ecological processes and ecosystems with a living and direct presence in the natural environment.
In close communion with animals and nature, we invite the artists to rethink the relationship between contemporary humans and the environment in the epoch of the Anthropocene.

The aim of the project is to offer the artists a vibrant environment to accomplish their creative projects.
