The mobility funding is intended for professional artists or cultural workers travelling and/or living in the Nordic and/or Baltic countries. The expert group met on 14 November 2024 to decide on the last round of applications for the year. In its decisions, the group strives for a good spread between the different regions, artistic fields and types of artistic content.
As an example of the support granted, Kah Bee Chow and Ingrid Furre were granted a trip from Malmö to Denmark to be part of the group exhibition Liquid Paper at Bonne Espérace in Copenhagen. Bonne Espérance is an artist-run exhibition space in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, which aims to present experimental projects by a diverse group of artists. The opening of Liquid Paper is on 23 November and the exhibition can be seen until 13 January.
Mobility funding is part of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture. There are three annual calls for applications, two in spring and one in autumn. The next application deadline for Mobility funding is 31 January 2025 and the round is open to applications for activities starting at the end of March or later.
