Let down by the adult world, teenage brothers Alex and Robin have been left to fend for themselves. Their protective symbiosis has forged a strong bond that’s made Robin completely reliant on his older brother Alex. That is, until Alex falls in love. Feeling abandoned by Alex, Robin spirals into a freefall. Alex blames himself for naively letting his first love distract him from his responsibilities towards his younger brother and pours all his efforts into saving Robin – who may not want to be saved.
Kevlar Soul is an admirable drama that combines a high level of artistic integrity with deep social concern. Maria Eriksson-Hecht’s direction is characterised by the utmost care for both the narrative and for the visual expression. (Reference: norden.org)
