Since the Centre Party left Jonas Gahr Støre’s coalition government, the Social Democratic Labour Party has surged in the opinion polls. The return of Jens Stoltenberg to Norwegian politics as finance minister is certainly bolstering the current situation. The question is: Is this enough to maintain the current political power? Or will power shift to the right, as Erna Solberg’s Conservative Party and Sylvi Listhaug’s Progress Party vie for the position as the largest party?
